Turns out I'm not the only one who felt that way.
After working as a front-end developer for nearly a decade, I realized it wasn't because I was "stupid", or not "cut out" for front-end work.

Mads Brodt – Hey there, I’m Mads - the creator and instructor of "Kick-start your Front-End career"
I’ve been working as a front-end developer for close to a decade, building dozens of websites and applications for all sorts of clients. I’ve also been teaching front-end development for the last five years, and have helped many students land their first job in the industry. I'm in charge of the front-end team at my job, and I'm excited to share everything I've learned over the years with you - both as a developer, a hiring manager and a teacher!
The course is for anyone looking to break into the front-end development industry, work as a professional front-end developer, and land that first job. It’s especially useful for self-taught developers, bootcamp graduates, and students who want to learn the skills needed to land a front-end job. So if you're just getting started with front-end (but aren't sure how to move to the next level), have done sone technical courses but are struggling to land that first job, or if you're a junior developer within the first few years of your career, this course is for you.
Who should NOT take this course?
If you've been working as a front-end developer for more than a few years, you probably won't get much out of this course. The course is designed for beginners and juniors who are looking to break into the industry and learn how to work as a professional front-end developer. If you're already working as a front-end developer and have been for a while, you might find the content doesn't directly apply to you.
Will this course teach me how to code?
No. The course is intended to provide a high-level overview of what it takes to work as a professional front-end developer, and how to land your first job in the industry. It won't teach you how to code from scratch, but it will help you understand what skills you need to learn to become a front-end developer, and how to go about learning them. It will also make you aware of the many different aspects of front-end development you can dive into to specialize in the areas you're most interested in.
What will this course help me accomplish?
My goal is (obviously) to prepare you for what it's like to work as a front-end developer. This includes what skills are expected of you, how to work with other developers / stakeholders, what you'll be doing day-to-day, and how to land your first job in the industry. So if you've been dreaming of working as a front-end dev, but need some practical guidance on how to get there, this course is for you.
What is the format of the course?
We all have those courses we bought with the best intentions, but never got around to finishing. This course is different. I've condensed almost 10 years of front-end knowledge into a single package you can consume in an afternoon. It's self-paced, and is really one long video where I walk you through everything you need to know to work as a professional front-end developer. You can watch it all in one go, or break it up into smaller chunks - whatever works best for you.
